Thunderous live clip of the almighty Who performing “Christmas” from 1969 rock opera Tommy
Could there ever be a more rocking holiday song than “Christmas” off The Who’s Tommy? Analog video interference aside, we are absolutely loving this clip of The Who playing the song live at Tanglewood in 1970. Daltrey is at his Tommy-era best, Entistle stands like a statue and lets his fingers do the walking, Keith Moon is jumping out of his seat with excitement, and Townshend. . . well he’s wearing a white jumpsuit and playing a maroon Gibson SG. How much more classic Who could it possibly be?
