High desert rockers release eerie animated video in advance of upcoming new album
By Alex Baker
Josh Homme and the Queens of the Stone Age uploaded a new animated video for “I Appear Mising,” a track off their forthcoming new album …Like Clockwork, which is set to be released on Matador Records next month.
The dark and eerie animated video features images of a crow finding a bloodied and bandaged man. The man then rises and floats phantom-like over a post-apocalyptic landscape. The track is also on the dark side, with atmospheric heavy guitars and a slightly menacing vocal take from singer Homme.
Although the video is only three minutes long, it’s been reported that the album version of “I Appear Missing” will be six minutes long.
The new QOTSA album …Like Clockwork, is scheduled to come out June 4 and features drumming by Dave Grohl and collaborations with the likes of Elton John, Trent Reznor, Scissor Sisters‘ Jake Shear, and former Queens bassist Nick Oliveri.
