London indie poppers The Cellophane Flowers are GSTV’s July Artist Showcase winners
The Cellophane Flowers are a female-fronted psychedelic indie pop outfit from the UK. Describing their sound as “psychopop” in interviews, the London four-piece draws from influences that include Siouxsie & the Banshees, Sonic Youth, Throwing Muses, and the Stone Roses. The band recently released their debut album, which was produced by David M. Allen (The Charlatans, The Cure, Depeche Mode). Fronted by the chicly bohemian Francesca Corradini, the Cellophane Flowers have also garnered airplay in the UK on BBC Radio 1 and 6, for the single “If I Was a Girl” which you can check out here.
