The Mad Dog Blog: Joe Cocker Mad Dogs & Englishmen

GSTV’s Mad Dog Blogger reflects on one of rock’s lost cinematic treasures

I want to take you back to a time before Pontius was a pilot, when men were men and sheep were nervous. Smooth Hound Smith

A foot stompin’ folk blues duo from Los Angeles by way of Nashville, Smooth Hound Smith is comprised of singer/guitarist Zack Smith and vocalist/percussionist Caitlyn Doyle. Together the duo produce a surprisingly big sound that infuses simple foot percussion with fuzzed guitars and artful jazz-like arrangements with the blues and folk that are the band’s bread and butter. Smooth Hound Smith can certainly do a lot with a little as you’ll see in this charmingly simple video for “California Sway.”
