The Beat Dolls are a rocking ska/punk trio from Austin, Texas. Front by singer/guitarist Angie, the band also features Barry on bass and Mike on drums. With Angie writing the majority of the lyrics, the Beat Dolls belt out three-minute pop-punk rock numbers filled with wit, sarcasm, humor, and just a touch of madness. We think the band’s garage-punk vibe is well-represented in this video for “Walking Dead.”
Drone is a heavy progressive rock band from Denmark, that describes themselves rather accurately as progressive grunge. The band combines diverse influences that include King Crimson, Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana, Tool, and even Peter Gabriel era Genesis, to concoct a modern heavy rock sound that is at once familiar and intriguing. Recently these Danish rockers followed in the footsteps of the Beatles, relocating to Hamburg, Germany to take their career up a notch.
