John Frusciante on Hendrix: Vintage Interview
In the rare 1990 interview on Dutch TV, John Frusciante, lead guitarist for The Red Hot Chili Peppers talks about Hendrix and how he influenced his style. Frusciante’s guitar work is considered by many to be strongly influenced by the melodic power pioneered by Hendrix. This interview took place in 1990 as part of a Hendrix documentary filmed by Dutch TV, and contains some great black and white live footage of Jimi performing “Machine Gun” – Not to be missed
