One of our Artist Showcase finalists earlier this year, June Divided are a red-hot indie rock quartet from Philadelphia, fronted by the impressive blonde guitarist/vocalist Melissa Menago. The band has a distinct, radio friendly sound and despite only having been formed in 2010, they have already appeared at the SXSW Music Festival in Austin and on the Vans Warped Tour. Guitar Shop TV recently caught up with legendary British blues guitarist Kim Simmonds, who performed on the same bill with Johnny and Edgar Winter and Rick Derringer. Simmonds is an exciting guitarist and in our view underappreciated within his peer group. Considered one of the architects of British blues, he started playing professionally in 1966 in London, England, and formed the Brtish blues rock group Savoy Brown in 1966.
