Guitar Shop TV recently sat down with blues/rock sensation Kenny Wayne Shepard to discuss new signature Fender Stratocaster at NAMM 2012. According to Fender‘s website, the guitar was inspired by his own 1961 Stratocaster. It features vintage styling with modern appointments, including Graph Tech® bridge saddles, a 12” radius fretboard, custom neck shape and jumbo frets.

Guitar Shop TV met with Taylor Guitars at NAMM to check out their redesigned rosewood bodied 700 series to a vintage Americana style with a standard Englemann top and venetian cutaway. In addition to the new look, guitars in the 300 series and above are now also available in a nylon string model. Guitar Shop TV’s January Artist Showcase winner is the exciting power trio Sicotropico. Hailing from Bogota, Colombia, Sicotropico’s sound is an innovative fusion of rock and world music. The band is composed of Caribbean Colombian musicians who draw on a variety of eclectic influences which also include jazz, salsa and funk to craft a distinct, heavy sound that is all their own.
