Alt rock icons take a run at the Bowie classic at SXSW Festival

Billy Corgan and his latest Smashing Pumpkins lineup were just one of the many incredible bands at this year’s SXSW Festival in Austin. In this live clip from The Guitar Center Sessions shot at this year’s festival, Corgan and co. try their hand at the David Bowie classic “Space Oddity.”

Seminal ‘90s alt-rock outfit The Smashing Pumpkins have resurfaced with a 13-song album entitled Oceania.

Chicago Venues: The Hideout

What can you say about “Chicago’s Most Loved Small Venue” The Hideout? Plenty. It’s a true shanty, and a true Chicago legend.
