The Rolling Stones at Coachella? Not Likely. . .

Coachella appearance by the World’s Greatest Rock and Roll band ruled out

Despite nearly overwhelming evidence to the contrary, sources close to the Rolling Stones have told Rolling Stone magazine that an appearance by the band at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April was out of the question.

Many will no doubt find this surprising since the band had gone as far as to include the festival amongst the tour dates on the the official Rolling Stones mobile app (see picture).

Festival organizers, meanwhile had featured a picture of an actual stone rolling across the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio where the annual festival is held.

However, whether or not a Coachella appearance by Mick and the boys had been in the works, the idea now seems to have been quashed. But that doesn’t mean you won’t have a chance to see the Stones live at some point in 2013.

“There have been quite a few offers,” said Mick Jagger, speaking to Rolling Stone Magazine. “I’m going to see what’s on the table and discuss it with everyone. We’ll announce it when we’ve figured it out.”
