Teutonic guitar hero drops promo vid for latest album
Michael Schenker has unveiled a trailer for his upcoming album Bridge The Gap, which is due out January 7.
The ex-Scorpions and UFO man assembled a kind of vintage metal supergroup for the album; recruiting his old rhythm section from the Scorps, Francis Buchholz and Herman Rarebell, ex-Rainbow vocalist Doogie White and keyboardist/guitarist Wayne Findlay. Bridge The Gap was recorded at Kid Room Studios in Germany and produced by Schenker and Michael Voss.
Schenker is also gearing up for a massive tour in support of the album, which will kick-off in January and February with some dates in the U.S., and feature a slightly different lineup from the album. He will then travel to Japan in March to link up with the album lineup and launch a world tour.
“I’m very much looking forward to touring the States in January/February and to introducing my new singer, Doogie White, and material from our new album,” Schenker said in a statement. “Doogie, Wayne Findlay and I will be promoting our new album in the States before teaming up with the album lineup for a world tour starting in March in Japan. We are all looking forward to rock you. ‘Til then, keep on rocking!”
