Want to hang with the cool cats without enduring the pretentiousness of some LA clubs? Look no further than Bardot Hollywood on Vine, a great place for music lovers, people watching, and having fun. Bardot is located on top of the famous Avalon Theater, and is comprised of three spaces—the intimate bar/lounge, an open-air courtyard, and the tent room, which is right out of Arabian Nights with massive chandeliers and flowing ceiling fabrics.
The décor is a blend of LA and Moroccan hip and has lots of places to sit, with plush velvet couches all around, although it tends to get crowded quickly. Bardot serves dinner, but most people come there for drinks and dancing. The club has two floors, with the bottom one mostly for dinner or private parties. The overall scene is pretty amazing: great music (DJ and live bands), great drinks, and beautiful people, with almost everyone dancing and having fun.
Every Thursday night, the club holds its Bardot Sessions which feature top LA session musicians, amazing up-and-coming vocalists, and established star vocalists doing iconic rock and roll covers. Bardot rocks, and is definitely worth an extended visit!
