Sicotropico Hailing from Bogota, Columbia, Sicotropico is a power trio whose sound is an innovative fusion of rock and world music. The band is composed of Caribbean Columbian musicians who draw on a variety of eclectic influences which also include jazz, salsa and funk to craft a distinct, heavy sound that is all their own. Ronnie Baker Brooks
Ronnie Baker Brooks is a smoking blues guitarist who like many a great bluesman, hails from Chicago. In addition to his formidable six-string chops, Baker Brooks has an engaging vocal delivery that’s easy on the ear as well as a knack for penning catchy, soulful blues-rock numbers. See for yourself by checking out this clip of Ronnie and his band performing live at the Frederikshavn Blues Festival in Denmark.
Hey You is a four-piece pop punk rock outfit fronted by the formidable female vocalist Kyle Tkatch. The Los Angeles group has a distinctly catchy, in your face rock sound that comes barreling out of your speakers and demands to be heard. Watch the band in action in this video clip for their punk/ska-inflected original, “Taking Over.”
Canada’s The Rebellion are an epic rock group who are fronted by singer/guitarist and ex-Canadian Idol, Josh Palmer. Palmer and his eclectic assemblage of musicians have come together to create a sweeping, infectious sound that’s heavily influenced by the likes of Coldplay, Muse, Jeff Buckley and Jimi Hendrix.
