Everyone’s favorite bearded indie singer/songwriter readies another long player

Samuel Beam, better known to the world by his stage name Iron and and Wine, has announced the release of his fifth full-length studio album. Set to be released on April 16, Ghost On Ghost will feature 12 new tracks.
The new album shows the Columbia, South Carolina-based singer/songwriter working in a slightly jazzier vein than was displayed in 2011′s ’70s FM radio-influenced Kiss Each Other Clean.
Beam has already released one track, “Lover’s Revolution” to YouTube, where one commenter compared it to Jethro Tull. We can certainly hear that although it reminds us more of Donovan, an artist who was never afraid to add elements of jazz to his well constructed folk-pop-rock.
