The Highline Ballroom is a 700-capacity space that books a fairly eclectic selection of bands while maintaining a decidedly classy vibe. This upmarket rock venue is housed in a former dance club and its interior sports exposed beams, great sight lines, and a lighting scheme that’s on the loungier side.
The bookers at the club routinely schedule a good variety of established and emerging acts. A glance through the club’s online calendar reveals vintage rock legends like Ian Hunter and the Zombies, cool contemporary groups like avant-garde electro duo Cherub, and eclectic world music acts such as South Africa’s Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
The club puts on the occasional free show; most of the time there’s a cover that will vary depending upon who’s on the bill. In addition to having a full bar, the Highline Ballroom also has a full kitchen and a pretty good menu for a rock and roll club.
