Cool zany video of Foo Fighters‘ “Walk” featuring Dave Grohl. These guys rock, and we LOVE Grohl’s signature powder blue Gibson Trini Lopez model (check out the distinctive diamond-shaped f-holes and stratocaster-style headstock, unique in Gibson’s semi-hollow body electric line)
For those of you that have been living on Mars, Foo Fighters was originally formed in 1994 by Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl as a one-man project following Nirvana’s breakup. The band got its name from the UFOs and various aerial phenomena that were reported by Allied aircraft pilots in World War II, which were known collectively as “Foo fighters.” Prior to the release of the Foo Fighters’ 1995 debut album “Foo Fighters” which featured Grohl on Guitar, as the only official member, Grohl recruited bassist Nate Mendel and drummer William Goldsmith, both formerly Sunny Day Real Estate, as well as fellow Nirvana touring bandmate Pat Smear as guitarist to complete the lineup. The rest, as they say, is history, and the band has gone on to become one of the most popular alternative rock bands in history.
