Fender combines Cabronita styling with lightweight Thinline design
By Alex Baker
Fender has added the new Cabronita Telecaster Thinline to its popular Cabronita series. The new model combines the striking styling of the Cabronita series with the lightweight design of a Thinline model. The beautiful guitar was designed as a distinctive and powerful take on Fender’s first model of electric guitar.
The Fender Carbonita Telecaster Thinline features a semi-hollow body made from ash or alder (depending on model), and f hole, and dual Fideli’Tron humbucking pickups. Among the other features found on the guitar are a modern “C” shaped maple neck with urethane finish, a 9.5″ radius maple fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets and black dot inlays, three-way toggle pickup switching, single-ply pickguard, a single knurled chrome volume control, and a vintage style string through body Stratocaster hard tail bridge.
As you can hear from above demo video, put out by Fender, the Cabronita Thinline’s Fideli’Tron pickups produce a range of beautiful, classic Telecaster tones.
The Fender Cabronita Telecaster Thinline is available in three models: White Blonde, 2-Color Sunburst, and Shoreline Gold.
