Eric Clapton Announces Spring U.S. Tour

Legendary blues-rock guitarist will take his act stateside in early 2013

 

Eric Clapton has announced a major U.S. tour that will kick off in March and culminate in a two-night stand at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

 

The iconic former Cream and Yardbirds guitarist will open the tour on March 14 with a performance at the U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix, AZ. He will play a total of 17 dates across 11 states before closing the tour in April at the Crossroads Blues Festival in New York.

 

Other acts on the bill for the Festival include The Allman Brothers, John Mayer, BB King, Brad Paisley, Guy Clark Jr., and Clapton’s fellow former-Yardbird, Jeff Beck.
