Innovative retro guitar maker partners with Grinderman guitarist to produce uniquely new stringed instrument

Eastwood Guitars has released a new two pickup version of their Warren Ellis Signature guitar. Ellis, who’s played with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Grinderman, and the Dirty Three, previously collaborated with Eastwood on the award-winning 23″ Warren Ellis Signature Electric Tenor Guitar.

The new Warren Ellis Signature Tenor 2P features a solid alder body, a bolt on maple neck, and a rosewood fingerboard. The guitar’s twin pickup set-up consists of a single-coil blade pickup in the neck position and a NY Mini Humbucker in the bridge position. There are two slide switches with volume and tone control.

This guitar is the fourth in a series of uniquely new stringed instruments produced by Eastwood that also includes the Airline Folkstar, the Airline Ukelele, and the Airline Mandola.

“The new 2P gives me a better top end and has opened up more possibilities in my writing,” explained the guitar’s co-creator Warren Ellis. “I have both on stage with me this month at every Nick Cave and Grinderman show.”

The Warren Ellis Signature Tenor 2P is initially available in Sonic Blue with a tortoise shell pickguard.
