Bruce Sprinsteen Covers “Highway to Hell” Live in Australia

The Boss takes a credible pass at AC/DC classic at Perth Arena show

Bruce Springsteen showed Australian fans that he still knows how to rock, opening his recent show at the Perth Arena with a cover of the AC/DC classic “Highway to Hell.”

The song was a fitting opener for the final night of Bruce and his band’s three-night stint at the Arena, as Perth was the hometown of legendary, late AC/DC frontman, Bon Scott, whose final album with the band had been 1979′s  Highway to Hell.

Bruce’s cover of the hard rock classic culminates in a four-way guitar jam featuring Nils Lofgren, Steven Van Zandt, Tom Morello, and the Boss himself. Pretty rocking!

But although Bruce does a more than credible job of handling the lead vocals, we have to admit, to this day, no one has ever sounded more convincing singing “Highway to Hell,” than the man himself, Mr. Bon Scott.

Ride on Bon! The rock world still misses you.
