Rocking female soul singer Tarra Layne has a raspy, sultry voice that could easily be compared to that of Stevie Nicks. Together with her capable backing band Layne has crafted a sound that combines Detroit soul with Southern rock and contemporary pop. With her breezy beauty and megawatt pipes this Pittsburg diva who according to her bio likes neat bourbon and “men with an edge” could easily be the next big thing. Just remember you heard her first here on GSTV! Check out the video for “Beautiful Day.”
Johnny Lanson is an alt-rocking hip hopper from Montgomery, AL with a danceable sound that’s a jumped up blend of rock and rap. Johnny’s vocal style is more laidback than Kid Rock’s and reminds us of a more tripped out version of Everclear. Already known for his energetic and engaging live performances, Johnny and his band have recently been garnering airplay with the single “Eye On You.” At GSTV we love innovative artists like Johnny and we’re particularly digging this video for “Carson Daly.”
