Veteran San Francisco rock group The Grateful Dead have teamed up with the Dogfish Head Brewery to introduce a new micro-brew. The beer will be a pale ale and will be known as “American Beauty,” after the landmark 1970 Dead album of the same name.
Semi-reclusive Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page is allegedly readying himself to step out of the shadows and back into the limelight. The legendary guitar hero was apparently inspired after seeing himself perform in the new film Celebration Day, which chronicles the appearance of a reunited Zeppelin at a tribute to Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun in 2007.

Jim is driving is a 1967 Shelby GT500 that was given to him by his record company, Elektra. Word is that he later wrecked it and left it beside the road and never returned to get it. GSTV meets with The Guitar Center in Los Angeles to check out the Rickenbacker Model 331LS “Lightshow.” It was introduced in 1970 and remained in production until 1975. This may have been unfortunate timing for Rickenbacker since the Psychedelic era had come to an end during that poeriod. If the instrument was introduced in the height of Psychedelia, say, 1966, it likely would have sold many more units.
