Mushy Callahan

A retro rock outfit from northern Alberta, Canada, Mushy Callahan is comprised of four young brothers with an ear for hooky vintage guitar riffs and toe tapping melodies. Singer Noah McCann has a voice that recalls a roughed up version of Bono, which glides smoothly over the band’s Detroit-inspired retro rock riffs. Check out the four McCann brothers in action in this live video clip for “Burn.”

Moiika the Main Event

Dirty dancehall queen Moiika has got it and is not afraid to flaunt it. While she pulls no punches with her raunchy dancehall persona, this woman’s talent is arguably as formidable as any of her other assets. One thing’s for sure, Moiika is certainly not afraid to lay it all on the line with her over the top dancehall anthems and no holds barred dance moves. Watch her shake her moneymaker in this video for “Insanity.”

Mree

Indie folk troubadour, Mree is a waifish beauty with a honeyed soprano that seems to float effortlessly through her sparsely arranged lilting melodies. The New Jersey native has been attracting attention of late, including Justin Vernon of Bon Iver who counts himself a Mree fan. Experience this earthy chanteuse’s musical charms for yourself by checking out this ethereal video for “Lift Me Up.”
